Sail aboard The Mermaid to Klein Curaçao
Klein Curaçao lies 15 miles off the southeast point of Curaçao and is just a two-hour boat trip from Spanish Water. The Mermaid, a sturdy sea-going vessel, awaits passengers at the Fishermen's Pier every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday morning at 6:45 am.
When you climb aboard the Mermaid, you'll be greeted with a warm cup of tea or coffee. Captain Cor and his crew create a great atmosphere that makes you feel welcome on board!
Swim, explore or do nothing at all!
Once the Mermaid has anchored offshore, you'll want to take a swim in the crystal clear turquoise water. Take a stroll and visit the historical lighthouse or collect shells on the beach. Lie out on a beach chair and catch some rays of the sun while hearing the breeze touching the palm trees.
Additional Information
- Exclusive to the Mermaid, Captain Cor and his crew have the only beach house on Klein Curaçao. With a large thatched-roof patio, picnic benches, and cool drinks it's a great shady shelter from the heat of the sun.
- The bathrooms are clean and well-maintained. The Mermaid provides all the facilities you need for a nice day on the beach.
- For snorkelers and scuba divers, Klein Curaçao has much to offer. Klein Curaçao has nice coral formations, a vertical drop-off, and a couple of underwater caves.
- A fantastic buffet lunch at the beach house awaits you-chicken, pork chops, corn on the cob, salads, and fruits are prepared to perfection. Beer, wine, juices, and soft drinks are provided.
- At 4 pm, it's all aboard time as the Mermaid heads back to the mainland. A perfect day!!!
- Transfer to Caracasbaai is not included, but can be booked optionally.
